In 2013, Luxury Living Group introduces the IDA – International Design Academy. This educational and cultural project is part of the broader goal to exalt manual skills, handicraft and innovation, enhancing the great Italian manufacturing tradition.
IDA’s objective is to offer a top-notch professional – and professional skills-building – experience to particularly worthy pupils from the best design schools. The campus’ international orientation springs from both the spirit of emphasizing the global dimension that Luxury Living Group tends toward and strengthening ties with the countries that those enrolled come from.
IDA is open to a limited number of students – four, tentatively – who participate in a bimonthly training program, analyzing and comprehending Luxury Living Group’s design and creative dynamics: for example, the spheres of interior decoration and product design, based on individual inclinations. Each individual gets a tailor-made course schedule drawn up oriented toward either creative study of a theme or integration into the corporate process of new product development.
Hosted within the extraordinary backdrop of Palazzo Orsi Mangelli (the Group’s headquarters) the students are immersed in a program based on a learning-by-doing approach: the opportunity to experience firsthand the dynamism and brainstorming that goes on daily in the offices and divisions, in an osmosis of ideas and creativity.
Besides specific on-the-job training time, the program also includes a series of business trips in international capitals of style, as well as the most emblematic production districts, to the establishments of the craftsmen of the Italian products that help make the group’s collections outstanding.
